Weight Management Council Australia Ltd

The Weight Management Council Australia Ltd was incorporated as a company limited by guarantee under the Corporations Act on 3 June 1997. The principal role of the Council is to administer the Weight Management Code of Practice. The Code is updated on a regular basis to reflect changes that affect the industry and consumers.

The Board of the Council consists of between three and nine directors:

 · An independent chairperson

 · A representative of the
...Australian Nutrition Foundation Inc

 · A representative of the
...Consumers Federation of Australia Inc

 · A maximum of six representatives of members

A representative of Consumer Affairs Victoria also attends board meetings as an observer.
